Security Research Event (SRE) 2018

The European Commission and the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology will organize the Security Research Event under the theme "Making Europe a safer place: demonstrating the impact of EU-funded security research". The event will demonstrate the strength and inspiring results of security-related research and innovation activities and how these positively contribute to the work being conducted on a daily basis by thousands of security practitioners. ALFA will be disseminated at the conference and the exhibition.

1ST ALFA WORKSHOP
3^th - 4^th December 2018, Brussels/Belgium

This one-day workshop illustrates the results and achievements of the ALFA and SafeShore projects and highlights the following points:

• Current state of the art in border security
• New technologies to improve border security
• A demonstration on how the ALFA and SafeShore system could be integrated within your organization.
• A demonstration of the added value of ALFA and Safeshore projects
• A great networking opportunity with the available experts will be provided

AMBOS testing & demo workshop
10^th July 2018, Mosbach/Germany
Under the 11^th The AMBOS project is a bi-national (Germany, Austria) R&D project focusing on UAV detection and interception for police forces. A workshop was held at Mosbach, Germany (rescue training site) for testing and demo of the sensor technologies. TUBS was given the opportunity to take part in this workshop showing and testing the ALFA RF sensor. In addition, during the course of this 4-day workshop the ALFA project was disseminated with a main target group of German and Austrian police forces (German Federal Police, Bundeskriminalamt, state police units of Bavaria and NRW, etc.).

Information Exchange and Interoperability

Under the 11^th Community of Users for Security Research event the EC organized a workshop dedicated to Information exchange and interoperability. TNO contributed to the workshop as a panellist, participating in the round table "Science to Science". The ALFA project and the interoperability of ALFA was presented in a short presentation, followed by open discussions and a question and answer session.

SICUR - International Security, Safety and Fire Exhibition
20^th - 23^rd February 2018, Madrid/Spain
ATOS disseminated the ALFA project at the SICUR exhibition.
